There was a slight jump in one of the transitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I did know one thing: it wasn\u2019t working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But I couldn\u2019t pinpoint exactly why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That was where the conversation with AI began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I explained what I was seeing, and together we reviewed that section of the edit. It suggested a possible cause and a way to correct it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I tried it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It didn\u2019t work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The jump was still there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I said so, and we looked at the problem again from a different angle. Another possibility then emerged: the images overlapped, but the black-and-white clip came in too quickly, almost instantly obscuring the previous image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We ran another test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This time, it worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">PROBLEM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1280 \/ 720;\" width=\"1280\" controls src=\"https:\/\/garcia-franco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/CASO01_PROBLEMA_FUNDIDO_web.mp4\" playsinline><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The transition wasn\u2019t working. The shift from colour to black and white felt too abrupt.<br><br><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">SOLUTION<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1280 \/ 720;\" width=\"1280\" controls src=\"https:\/\/garcia-franco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/CASO01_RESOLUCION_FUNDIDO_web.mp4\" playsinline><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">After several tests, we adjusted the transition until the shift to black and white no longer felt like a cut.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Up to this point, it might seem simply like a quicker way of solving a technical problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But for me, something more interesting happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI did not have the right answer from the outset either. I still had to look, test, reject and decide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And that is precisely where collaboration lies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is not about handing over control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work, the intention and the judgement remain mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the interaction makes the journey from \u201cthis isn\u2019t working\u201d to \u201cnow it is\u201d much quicker and, above all, far richer in possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It allows me to accelerate the dialogue I have with my own creative process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I can test more. Discard sooner. Go back without every attempt meaning starting almost from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The increase in productivity is enormous, but it is only a consequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What truly matters is that this ongoing interaction is transforming my own creative process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI does not make the work for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nor is it limited to carrying out instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It has become a collaborator with whom I can think aloud, discuss a possibility, test it, get things wrong and try again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three in the Studio begins precisely there: by observing what happens when that conversation becomes an ongoing part of an artist\u2019s work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-35f06ea7 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/garcia-franco.com\/?page_id=229&amp;lang=en\">\u2191 BACK TO THREE IN THE STUDIO<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was finishing Uso indebido (Misuse), a Living Work video developed from my painting Pacto de m\u00ednimos (Minimum Terms).
